This book is not light reading. It presumes that the reader is chemically and mathematically competent. However that being said, the development of concepts and techniques is clear and extremely well written. Its use of graphical techniques to solve chemical problems is powerful and outstanding, especially in this age of computers. I have been a professional water treater and researcher for as long as this book has been around, and I’ve never found anything better, DOWNLOAD IT. READ IT!
This is sort of a “classic” book that I wanted to have because it is very useful, a lot of good examples, very practical and at the same time very scientific. I am very happy I got it. By the way, I bought a pre-owned book, and its condition was simply excellent. For a good price I got an excellent book, in excellent condition. All my books arrived at an earlier time than expected. Yes, I will continue buying from Amazon and its branches.

The good news is that organic chemistry isn’t as hard as everyone tells you, but you do have to do the work, it REALLY helps to have a good professor, and it SERIOUSLY helps to get this book and read it alongside your text. Often a concept in the text would be so bogged down in unfamiliar words and concepts that I couldn’t wrap my head around it 100% – that’s when I turned to the Klein book. Concepts are broken down into easy to understand steps and explained in plain English, and there are lots of mini exercises for each of the concepts.

I am going into the final with a 95/100 average in a class where the demarcation line for an A is often in the low 80’s. I had to do a lot of work to get those grades, but it was made easier with the Klein book. Get it and use it – you will be glad you did.
